It is extremely necessary that you brush your teeth from time to time. Brushing your teeth after every meal is beneficial, however, it is not practical as you probably won’t have toothpaste and brush after having dinner with your friends at a restaurant. Moreover, flossing is another essential element of dental hygiene. When your dental care is not performed carefully, it can lead to tooth decay and gum diseases. The residing bacteria, if not brushed properly, can erode your enamel which can lead to visually unappealing cavities and staining. Dental plaque is another serious issue, that is when the bacteria starts residing on your teeth, it deteriorates the health of the normal teeth. It is inevitable that you visit your dentist regularly and get your teeth regularly checked.

Dental health is beneficial to your overall health. If bacteria are not removed from your mouth, the bacteria may enter your bloodstream and may transport the infection to the other parts of your body. Studies have shown a relationship between the two. When the mouth is not properly cleaned, it leads to other diseases such as diabetes, endocarditis, pneumonia, pregnancy complications, and even cardiovascular diseases. Not only diseases, but dental health is also important among social standings. People who have poor dental health are more likely to form weaker social interactions due to a lack of confidence. Furthermore, the deposition of plaque on teeth leads to stained, yellow teeth which further reduces the confidence.
