A Rare Green Puppy Was Born in Italy
By admin - November 9, 2020

This year is really very strange, to say the least.

Everything became even more strange for an Italian farmer, Christian Malochi, when his dog Spelachia gave birth to a green-haired puppy.

The tiny Tsuga was immediately named Pistachio (Pistachio – light green or yellowish green).

The puppy is one of the representatives of the five-dog bulk farm on the island of Sardinia. Pistachio brothers and sisters are all white, just like their mother.

A dog born with green fur is very rare. According to popular belief, this is the result of the puppy coming into contact with the green pigment biliverdin while in the womb.

But – which will probably break some people’s hearts – the color of the pistachio is already slowly fading and will continue to fade in the future.

The owner of the farm decided to give away all the puppies except Fistashio, and he will help the green-haired Tsuga to shepherd the sheep shield on the farm.

“Green is the color of hope and luck – something that will really help us in 2020 if we have a little more,” says Farmer.
