The Prince of Bel Air is coming back – Prince Prince Will Smith himself informed the fans about this and shared the date of the premiere of the special show with the trailer.
Sitcom has occupied the television space for six years since 1990. Even after the announcement of a special show this fall, a large army of fans was looking forward to reuniting their favorite characters and seeing them on screen again.
Smith posted a video on YouTube last week that, with 250,000 views collected in a matter of hours, soon became a top trend.
“You’re not ready for this trailer,” Smith says at the beginning of the video. “It ‘s impossible to be ready for this trailer. Happy Thanksgiving.”
The day when we should expect the premiere of a special show, the actor said, is November 19 – when a big comeback on HBO Max is planned to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the TV show.
The video also features actors from the series – Tatiana Ali, Joseph Marcel and Alfonso Ribeiro – who recall funny moments and behind-the-scenes situations from the sitcom sitting on the white couch.
However, the show will not include only smiling and funny moments.
The trailer also shows how the actors talk about their colleague and friend, James Avery, who plays Uncle Phil in the series. She died seven years ago from complications following heart surgery.
“James Avery was a Shakespearean beast in the fifties,” Smith said in the video for the trailer, “and I really wanted to look good in his eyes.”
The tears were not just reminiscent of Avery.
In the video, the actors talk about the importance of the series – a series that includes 148 series and was a great refuge for many people – especially for black viewers.
“Through our TV series, we showed people the distinctiveness of blacks,” says Ali.
