Olympique Lyonnais have are set to spend big this January and bring Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante as a Houssem Aouar replacement, who is set to leave the club.
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich reportedly “loves” Kante, but considering his later performances for the Blues Frank Lampard will let him go to another club for the right price.
Reports had claimed Chelsea would entertain offers around £45million for Kante, he still has three years remaining on his contract with the London club, but offers in that region will be accepted.
Kante has made 22 appearances for Chelsea last season, he chipped in with three goals, but did not make any assists. He was used as second half substitute during his side’s defeat to Tottenham on Tuesday.
The 29-year-old midfielder has joined Chelsea in 2016 and since has made 182 appearances in all competitions for the club in which he managed to score 11 goals.
