When it comes to women’s tennis there are a few names that usually come to mind. More specifically there is one name that has taken over the tennis world. We are talking about none other than Serena Williams. Serena Williams is considered to be a superstar in the tennis world. But that’s not all. She is also considered to be a superstar athlete all over the world. With that said, Serena has certainly made a made for herself since her tennis career took off. This is why many fans and colleagues were saddened to hear that she was officially hanging up her tennis rack for good.

That’s right, on September 3, 2022, Serena Williams played her last professional tennis match. By the last match, we mean her very last. Serena Williams has officially retired from the world of professional tennis. Although this came as no surprise, many wear in tears at the end of her final match even Serena herself. You see the forty-year-old made such a big name for herself as a professional tennis player and as an athlete. So much so that she has been sponsored by top athletic sponsors and she has been able to play all over the world. Serena Williams is also the only person to have ever won more Grand Slam titles than any man or woman in tennis.
Now you may think that Serena should have continued but she has other plans. You see, Serena has given her life to her professional tennis career. It is what she spent her entire life working on. However as time went on she became a businesswoman, a wife, and a mother. She did all this while continuing to work on her main passion, tennis. With that said, Serene felt as though she has dedicated most of her life to the sport and that it was finally time for her to put her focus on other things. More specifically her family.
