The American DJ scene has been booming in recent years, with a wide variety of talented DJs making waves across the country. From EDM to hip-hop and everything in between, there are countless talented artists producing beats and spinning tunes for fans around the world. But who are some of the top DJs in America? We take a look at five of the best DJs currently working on US soil. One of the top names in American DJing is Diplo. Born Thomas Wesley Pentz, he’s been credited with popularizing moombahton and trap music while also collaborating on projects like Major Lazer with Skrillex and A-Trak’s Duck Sauce project.

His work has earned him multiple Grammy Awards as well as one for Producer Of The Year from Billboard Magazine. He even made an appearance at Super Bowl 50 alongside Beyonce during her halftime show performance! Another major player on the US DJ circuit is Kaskade (real name Ryan Raddon). This veteran artist got his start playing underground parties in Chicago before becoming one of dance music’s biggest stars over two decades later. He was the first solo electronic artist to ever headline the iconic Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in 2011 and has since released six studio albums. Kaskade’s work is often considered progressive house or trance but he also has explored a variety of other genres like future bass and hip-hop over his career.
The Miami-based DJ and producer known as Armand Van Helden may be one of the most influential American DJs. He was one of the first to introduce house music to the US in the 1990s and has since gone on to produce some of dance music’s biggest tracks. His remix of “U Don’t Know Me” by Jomanda earned him a Grammy nomination in 1999 and he was later nominated again for his remix of “My My My” by Armand Van Helden featuring Duane Harden. Armand is still active in the scene today, having released two new albums in 2019. The American DJ and producer Steve Aoki is one of the most recognizable DJs in the world.
