Which MacBook to Buy in 2022
By Claire Miles - April 30, 2022

With so many MacBooks in the market, including the older versions, it can be quite hard to pick out the one which is right for you in terms of prices and usage. Picking out the right MacBook has become even trickier now since Apple released new MacBook Pros on the market with entirely new processors and a different design. Along with the Apple M1 chip, the company has released even more powerful chips, namely the M1 Pro and M1 Max. These are present in the new MacBook Pros and have been a complete game-changer, with their stellar processing speeds that are unlike any of their predecessors.

Even the 2020 MacBook Airs are extremely powerful as compared to their predecessors, all due to Apple’s M1 chip. These MacBook airs are priced just below $1000, providing the best mix of both value and price. This $999 MacBook is suitable for most users and is the top recommendation for the best MacBook overall. The Apple M1 chip makes the Air model faster than anyone had expected! It also has a superb power efficiency that enables a much longer battery life, lasting over 14 hours on a charge. The $1,299 MacBook Pro also contains the same M1 chip.

However, it is a bit more powerful and lasts even longer on a charge. Nevertheless, for many people, it is still not worth the extra $300 from the MacBook Air model. This entry-level MacBook Pro is almost the same as its Air counterpart. Many argue that it has only minimal differences, which don’t make the extra $$ worth it. However, if you are tempted to buy the entry-level MacBook Pro, you should wait for a bit. Because Apple is expected to release a new entry-level Macbook Pro in 2022. If you do not need a laptop right away, you should wait and see the updates that the 2022 models have to offer!
